CHILE, Santiago, gold bust 8 escudos, Ferdinand VII ("admiral bust"), 1808 FJ, NGC AU 55 (Colección Val y Mexía Label). Cal-1860; KM-72; Fr-28. Deeply red- and purple-toned all over, with minor flan-flaws including a strike-through-fiber in front of chin, some small marks, but overall rather attractive for the grade, interesting transitional bust that was only used for 8 escudos. Pedigreed to the Val y Mexía Collection.
